Summary: | Cloning cells comprising depositing fewer than 5 mammalian cells (A), in presence of autologous feeder cells (B), in a culture vessel under serum-free conditions, then culture and replication under similar conditions, is new. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) preparing a (recombinant) protein (I) in mammalian cells, under serum-free conditions; (2) the use of hamster cells or NS0 myeloma cells as feeder cells; and (3) composition comprising a serum-free culture medium; fewer than 5 (A), which are replication-capable, and (B) that are autologous with (A). |
