Summary:The present invention relates to a writing apparatus for extended display identification data (EDID), mainly comprises a plurality of display interface connectors, a display interface detecting circuit, a switch circuit, and a computer. When an input display interface is connected electrically to the plurality of display interface connectors, the display interface detecting circuit is capable of outputting an interface signal to the computer and a switch signal to the switch circuit; afterward, when the computer receives the interface signal, the switch circuit and the plurality of display interface connector are capable of outputting extended display identification data corresponding to the interface signal to a display device and writing thereinto.
