Summary:A network device for connecting public switched telephone network (PSTN) telephones to the Internet including a parameter analyzing module, a voice quality detecting module and a control module. The parameter analyzing module receives and analyzes Internet packets. The voice quality detecting module compares analyzed parameters of the Internet packets with those of in a criteria parameter form, and outputs a detecting signal. The manage module outputs a control signal to a remote processing according to the detecting signal. In present invention, the network integrated a voice quality detecting function therein has a low cost.
