Summary: | This invention relates to an apparatus for continuous ignition timing adjustment. It includes a variable control shaft with at least one No# 1 adjusting device and at least one adjusting device attached, a number-one rocker arm and a No# 2 rocker arm also attached on the variable control shaft, at least one sliding grove set on the No# 1 rocker arm for allowing the displacement of No# 1 adjusting device and at least one sliding grove set on the No# 2 rocker arm for allowing the displacement of No# 2 adjusting device, a cam acting with the No# 1 rocker arm and an engine valve acting with the No# 2 rocker arm. By moving the variable control shaft in the axial direction, the No# 2 adjusting device pushes the No# 2 rocker arm to rotate along the sliding grove on the variable control shaft and result a variable stroke of the engine valve. The design gains advantages on easy fabrication, low cost, better adjusting structure and stronger cam shaft. |
