Summary:A solid imaging element and a manufacturing method thereof are provided for enhancing the photo acceptance sensibility of the solid imaging element, wherein within the solid imaging element, a power supply line (8) is covered upon an isolating area (4). An upper lens film (24) with translucency is provided while its surface forms a projection continuously towards a channel area (5) upon the isolating area (4). Further, since above the upper lens film (24) is provided with a translucent material having a refractive index lower than the upper lens film (24), the upper lens film (24) is functioned as a prism upon the power supply line (8), and the light radiated upon the power supply line (8) can be introduced to the channel area (5) that is the photo acceptance element area.
