Summary: | The present invention relates to a multiplication device of non-integer multiplier, which is provided to utilize an approximation method to accomplish the operation of non-integer multiplication, to propose a new fixed-point multiplication device architecture suitable for integrated circuit design based on this approximation method, and to fit to the pipe line operation, and to modify the precision requirement according to different application conditions. The multiplication device is formed by serially connecting n-1 shift adders/subtractors and one shift carrier to become an n-stage multiplication device. When the precision requirement is high, shift adders are serially connected to the end of the multiplication device. Therefore, the number of shift adders can be adjusted according to the design requirement, thereby achieving a balance between the precision and the number of logic gates. |
