Summary: | The object of the present invention is to provide an optical information recording medium having improved repetitive recording characteristics, recording power margin and storage stability. The optical information recording medium has an Ag-base translucent layer, a dielectric-containing first protective layer, a phase-change type recording layer comprising an alloy based on SbxTe1-x (0.7 < x <= 0.9), a dielectric-containing second protective layer and a metallic reflecting layer in this order. In the case where the first protective layer contains a sulfur-containing dielectric, the medium has a diffusion preventing layer between the translucent layer and the first protective layer. When light is made incident from the translucent layer, the reflectance of the medium in the amorphous state of the recording layer is higher than that in the crystalline state of the recording layer. |
