Summary:The present invention provides a method and apparatus for transferring image data. A bus device is used to transfer an image data frame from a data capturing apparatus to a data processing apparatus. The bus device includes a data signal bus and an enable signal line. The enable signal line has an enable signal. When the enable signal is enabled, image data frame of variable length can be transferred from the data capturing apparatus onto the data signal bus, and received by the data processing apparatus. The transferring and receiving operation are stopped when the enable signal is disabled. By means of the bus device, the gap of the operating speed difference between the data capturing apparatus and the data processing apparatus can be bridged, and any size of image data frame can be transferred and received.
