Summary:The present invention provides a method for distributing and storing the configured address space, which can be applied in the current advanced computer system without modifying the BIOS or system software of the conventional computer system. To the microprocessor, all configuration data is existed in the north bridge control chip. However, some PCI bus related configuration data is actually stored in the south bridge control chip. Such a design can hide the influence caused by the advanced computer system introducing a high-speed private bus, and further satisfy the requirement of the advanced system having to partition the configured space distribution.
