Summary: | A color management method comprising the steps of: outputting a color chart with a plotter; inputting the output color chart via a scanner; detecting a region of the scanned color chart and a basic color; enlarging the detected region and color; creating a color database by constructing and storing an index and a re-expressible color space about the enlarged color region; detecting a to-be-managed region from a digital picture image; lightness mapping the picture image within the to-be-managed region; extracting colors from the picture image within the to-be-managed region; chrominance mapping the extracted color into the color database region; searching color database and extracting managed color to carry out color management within the region after the mapping; and inputting letters after the color management, whereby states of colors before and after management may be verified on a monitor without using a high cost measuring device and thick color of letters may be maintained when inputting additional letters. |
