To provide a method and a device for cutting the food dough, which can give food dough sheets each having desired weight and size. This method for cutting the food dough, characterized by carrying the food dough onto a measuring conveyer and further onto a measurement-checking conveyer disposed in vicinity to the measuring conveyer, and then cutting the carried food dough, when the sum of the measurement values of the measuring conveyer and the measurement-checking conveyer or the measurement value of the measurement-checking conveyer is coincident with a set value. The device for cutting the food dough, characterized by comprising a carrying conveyer for carrying the food dough, the measuring conveyer for measuring the carried food dough, the measurement-checking conveyer disposed in vicinity to the measuring conveyer, a cutter for cutting the food dough, when the sum of the measurement values of the measuring conveyer and the measurement-checking conveyer or the measurement value of the measurement-checking conveyer is coincident with the set value, and the measurement-checking conveyer for checking the weight of the cut food dough piece.
