Summary: | A creped nonwoven web having permanent crepe includes regions of interfilament bonding which are permanently bent our-of -plane, alternating with regions of no interfilament bonding. The non-bonded regions include a multiplicity of filament loops which terminate at both ends in the creped interfilament-bonded regions. The creped nonwoven web is useful as the female component of a hook-and loop fastener, and can also be used in diaper outercovers, liners, transfer and surge layers, wipers, and other fluid handing products. The web may also be creped using a hydrophilic adhesive, and as a fluid transfer liner in absorbent structure such as diapers, which hydrophilic surface facing the absorbent core. |
