This invention provides a dyeing auxiliary and a manufacturing method thereof and a dyeing process applied thereto. The manufacturing method includes the following steps: synthesizing a surfactant of a hydrolyzed gelatin derivative from gelatin, glycolic acid, epichlorohydrin and sodium bisulfite as raw materials by means of reaction, and capturing a dye in dyeing and finishing wastewater by utilizing the agglutination property of the auxiliary and bringing the dye into a cellulosic fabric, such that the purposes of making the dyeing rate of the fabric increase in a dyeing process and reducing the residual rate of the dye in the wastewater subsequently produced are achieved.
