Summary:The invention discloses a hybrid transformer apparatus and control method thereof. A hybrid transformer apparatus including a distribution transformer and at least one power electronic module is provided, and a first and second hybrid switching switches of a series converter of a power electronic module can mutually switch a normal operation mode and a bypass mode of the hybrid transformer apparatus. When the first and second hybrid switching switches of the series converter switch the hybrid transformer apparatus from the bypass mode to the normal operation mode, performing the first to fourth switching switches and the first to second hybrid switching switches for switch of pulse width modulation. When the first and second hybrid switching switches switch the hybrid transformer apparatus from the normal operation mode to the bypass mode, stopping the first to fourth switching switches to keep off state, and keeping or switching the first to second hybrid switching switches to on state.
