Summary:Provided are an encoding method, a decoding method, a code stream, an encoder, a decoder and a storage medium. The decoding method is applied to a decoder, and comprises: determining vertex information of a three-dimensional mesh; performing connectivity prediction according to the vertex information of the three-dimensional mesh, and determining a predicted weight value of an edge of the three-dimensional mesh; parsing a code stream to determine a prediction residual value of the edge of the three-dimensional mesh; and determining a reconstruction weight value of the edge of the three-dimensional mesh according to the predicted weight value and the prediction residual value. The encoding method and the decoding method can improve the geometric encoding efficiency of a three-dimensional mesh, and improve the compression performance of the three-dimensional mesh.
