Summary:It is described a method of controlling a natural energy production plant (1) connectable/connected to a utility grid (8) and comprising plural energy production entities (2a,2b,...,2f), in particular wind turbines, during insufficient natural energy availability, the method comprising: providing first power (P1) from an energy storage system (23) to the energy production entities (2a,2b,...,2f); measuring second power (P2) provided to the energy production entities (2a,2b,...,2f) from the utility grid (8); controlling, in particular by a plant controller (4) and/or respective energy production entity controllers (5a), the energy production entities (2a,2b,...,2f) and/or the energy storage system (23) based on the first power (P1) and/or the second power (P2) and/or a charge state of the energy storage system (23).
