The invention discloses a method of manufacturing a plurality of silicon nano-particles by use of a silicon kerf waste. The method of the invention is, firstly, to prepres a plurality of silicon powders from the silicon kerf waste. Then, the method of the invention is to heat the plurality of silicon powders and a magnesium raw material in an inert first furnace atmosphere, such that the plurality of silicon powders react with the magnesium raw material into a plurality of magnesium-silicon alloy powders. Next, the method of the invention is to heat the plurality of magnesium-silicon alloy powders in a second furnace atmosphere, such that magnesium in the plurality of magnesium-silicon alloy powders transform into magnesium compounds to obtain a plurality of silicon/magnesium compound powders.
