A feeder apparatus for a processing machine and a control method thereof are adapted to be installed on the processing machine to convey a plurality of workpieces. Each workpiece can be processed by the processing machine to form a corresponding finished product. The feeder apparatus includes a base unit, a feeding unit and a conveying unit. The conveying unit is disposed on the base unit and includes a clamping cylinder movable relative to the base unit. The clamping cylinder has a first clamping jaw and a second clamping jaw, and is movable between a picking position and a transfer position relative to the base unit. When the clamping cylinder is in the transfer position, it can be operated to switch between a first use state and a second use state. In the first use state, the second clamping jaw approaches the processing machine. In the second use state, the first clamping jaw approaches the processing machine to convey and transfer the workpieces and the finished products.
