Summary:A remote transmission method and system are provided. A bandwidth detection packet is sent to a client apparatus through a server apparatus. When a response packet corresponding to the bandwidth detection packet is received from the client apparatus, a response time between the transmission of the bandwidth detection packet and the reception of the response packet is calculated through the server apparatus, thereby calculating the network bandwidth of the client apparatus. A video and audio recording format corresponding to the network bandwidth is transmitted to the client apparatus through the server apparatus, so that the client apparatus records the video and audio file to be transmitted to the server apparatus based on the video and audio recording format.
