Summary:A positioning system is provided, which includes an image capturing device and a processor. The image capturing device is disposed in a mobile vehicle in a monitoring field to capture a current field image related to the monitoring field. And the processor is connected with the image capturing device, and used to analyze the current field image to obtain a current coordinate of the mobile vehicle in the monitoring field according to a screen area in the current field image where at least one reference object in the monitoring field is located at least, to position the mobile vehicle in the monitoring field. In addition, a positioning method is disclosed herein.
