Summary:This application proposes a method for automatically identifying the PCIe configuration of server, the method comprises: importing a first signal and a second signal, respectively to a first connector, and importing a third signal and a fourth signal respectively into two interfaces of the second connector; the complex programming logic device obtains a ID signal of a first slim-line cable and a second slim-line cable according to the first signal, the second signal, the third signal and the fourth signal, and detects whether the first slim-line cable and the second slim-line cable are correctly connected to corresponding slots; when both of the first slim-line cable and the second slim-line cable are correctly inserted into the slots, the server system boots normally and the PCIe channel width is allocated. The application also proposes a server that can implement the method.
