The present invention relates to a method and a device for automatically removing chips from turning of a rim. The device includes a turning unit and a suction unit, wherein the suction unit is fitted on a tri-axial moving mechanism that enables to move in a second direction opposite to a first direction where the turning unit moves, and wherein the suction unit moves closely adjacent to the turning unit as the turning unit displaces in the turning operation for a rim. As a result, the suction unit is able to draw out all the chips resulted from the turning of the rim by the turning unit, so as to achieve the technical purpose and effect of automatically cleaning up the cutting chips on the rim.
