Summary: | The present invention discloses forward osmosis membrane having high permeate flux and comprising silicon dioxide nanoparticles and a method for manufacturing the same. The forward osmosis membrane comprising silicon dioxide nanoparticles has a polysulfone base layer and a polyamide surface layer. The silicon dioxide nanoparticles are added into the polyamide surface layer during conducting interfacial polymerization to prepare the polyamide surface layer on the polysulfone base layer to obtain the forward osmosis membrane having high water permeate flux and solute selectivity. Accordingly, the present invention can be can be effectively used in wastewater treatment. |
