Summary:A weaving shuttle has a body on which a plurality of rollers and, respectively, wheels for guiding the weaving shuttle within a reed of a circular loom and a fixture for fastening a weft tape bobbin so that it is rotatable about its longitudinal axis are attached. A weft tape inserter comprising an arm on which an inlay wheel is rotatably mounted is attached to the body of the weaving shuttle. The inlay wheel comprises a first partial wheel having a first diameter and a second partial wheel having a second diameter. The first and the second partial wheels have a common axis of rotation and are arranged non-rotatably with respect to one another, wherein the second partial wheel has a weft tape guide surface on its periphery and the first diameter of the first partial wheel is larger than the second diameter of the second partial wheel.
