Summary: | The present invention provides a method of producing recombinant insulin-like growth factor I (rIGF-1) as an improved method for obtaining rIGF-1 in which misfolding recombinant insulin-like growth factor I (rIGF-1) is correctly folded with high purity. The production method of I(rIGF-1) comprises: (1) a step of obtaining rIGF-1 as a fusion protein (SUMO-IGF-1) with the ubiquitin-like protein SUMO (small ubiquitin-related modifier); (2) a step of treating SUMO-IGF-1 by SUMO protease; and (3) a step of applying the treatment solution of step (2) to cation exchange chromatography, and obtaining an eluent containing rIGF-1 by gradient elution. |
