The water quality deodorant of the present invention mainly includes a powder prepared by subjecting natural shellfish shells to a high temperature treatment reaction and screening, and the powder has a particle size ranging from 0.4 to 10 [mu]m and has a porous structure. The inner and outer surfaces of the powder pores are filled and coated with microbial strains. The water quality deodorant of the present invention has a high specific surface area, and better adsorption capacity, no energy consumption, no chemical pollutions, and is beneficial to the attached reproduction of microorganisms to effectively achieve a deodorizing effect on water quality.
