A backlight device and display device are provided. The backlight device includes a backlight module, a first electrostatic protection component, a second electrostatic protection component, and a third electrostatic protection component. The backlight module has a positive driving end and a plurality of negative driving ends. The first electrostatic protection component is coupled between a first negative polarity driving end of the plurality of negative polarity driving ends and a reference ground end. The second electrostatic protection component is coupled between a second negative polarity driving end of the plurality of negative polarity driving ends and the reference ground end. The third electrostatic protection component is coupled between the positive driving end and the first negative polarity driving end or the second negative polarity driving end.
