Summary:The present invention relates to an input unit mounted on a notebook computer for moving cursor and selecting. The input unit comprises a universal-ball cursor controlling device and a pen device. The universal-ball cursor controlling device comprises a stand and a ball. The pen device is detachably connected to the ball and can rotate the ball relative to the stand when the pen device is connected to the ball. Thus, the pen device can be used as a joystick for games or for shooting control in military use. The pen device may be a stylus, and can be detached from the universal-ball cursor controlling device to be used independently.
