A detection method, configured to detect a display panel, includes the following steps: turning on a first switch to turn on at least one of the first sensing electrodes; measuring the first resistance value via the first test pad and the second test pad; turning on a second switch to turn on at least one of the second sensing electrodes; measuring the second resistance value via the third test pad and the fourth test pad; determining whether at least one of the first sensing electrodes and the second sensing electrodes is an open-circuit state according to the first resistance value and the second resistance value; measuring the third resistance value via the second test pad and the third test pad; and determining whether at least one of the first sensing electrodes and the second sensing electrodes is in a short-circuit state according to the third resistance value.
