Summary:The present invention provides an electric fishing reel capable of preventing a fishing line from intruding into a gap between the reel body and the flange portion while using the fishing reel. The electric fishing reel (1) comprises a reel body (3), a reel shaft (5), a reel (7), and a motor (9). The reel body (3) comprises a main shell (21), a reel shaft holding portion (33), and a fishing line intrusion prevention portion (35). The reel shaft holding portion (33) is disposed in the main shell (21) for holding the reel shaft (5). The fishing line intrusion prevention portion (35) is disposed on the reel shaft holding portion (33). The fishing line intrusion prevention portion (35) may prevent the fishing line from intruding between the main shell (21) and the flange portion (40) by covering the outer peripheral portion of the flange portion (49).
