Summary:The embodiment of the invention discloses a method and a device for processing a service request. If the service request passes consensus verification, each consensus node stores a data abstract for service data to a block chain but does not store the service data to the block chain. Thus, on one hand, the data abstract for the service data is stored in the credible block chain, and the authenticity of the service data can still be verified. On the other hand, no service data are stored in the block chain, the service data can not be acquired by a block chain node unrelated to target service, each consensus node does not need to consume operation resources to encrypt the service data, and the efficiency of carrying out consensus verification on the service request by each consensus node is also enhanced.
