Summary:Provided is a viewing angle expansion film for expanding the viewing angle, wherein the viewing angle expansion film is equipped with one or more resin layers among which one or more of the layers is a hole-containing layer equipped with multiple hole-containing sections which are substantially parallel to each other. The hole-containing sections contain holes, and the refractive index of the hole-containing layer is 1.53 or less. Also provided are a polarizing plate and a liquid crystal display device having this viewing angle expansion film.
