Summary: | A laser detection device includes a laser emitting unit, an image capture unit, and a processing unit. The laser emitting unit can project a sector of laser light and project a mark on a surface of an obstacle. The image capture unit captures the projected image formed by the projection mark on the surface of the obstacle. The processing unit recognizes the projection mark from the projected image, measures an image offset between the projection mark and a reference mark in the projected image, and calculates the distance between the laser detection device and the obstacle according to an image offset analysis. The invention can detect obstacles in a wide range by emitting a sector of laser light so as to improve driving safety. |
