The invention provides a resin composition for cleaning a die, the resin composition including: a melamine-based resin; a zinc salt of a fatty acid; and an organic base other than a salt of a strong acid and a weak base, a content of the zinc salt of a fatty acid being 1 part by mass or more with respect to 100 parts by mass of a total solid content of the resin composition, and a ratio of a content of the organic base with respect to a content of the zinc salt of a fatty acid in the resin composition is from 1/100 to 1/2, on a mass basis.
