Summary:A multi-layer cover tape construction includes a polymeric substrate with a first major surface and a second major surface; an adhesive layer disposed on the first major surface of the first substrate; and an antistatic layer disposed on the first major surface of the first substrate. The polymeric substrate has a surface energy of between 5 and 500 mN/m, and a surface roughness of between 0.1 and 5 [mu]m.
