Summary:A bottleneck monitoring infrastructure applied to distributed software-defined storage (SDS) and a method thereof are disclosed. The invention utilizes a bottleneck diagnosis module to real-time monitor client ends and the status of the distributed SDS, and real-time diagnose the distributed SDS by using a bottleneck diagnosis knowledge base to find out whether if any node reaches a bottleneck. If the bottleneck diagnosis module detects any unmet threshold value preset beforehand (the capability expected for the system to reach), a resource allocation module would automatically increase the number of tested client ends in order to improve a testing pressure; if a bottleneck is met, an immediate report will be given to a bottleneck analysis module so as to command the resource allocation module to increase a particular node resource for the distributed SDS. The bottleneck analysis module establishes an association analysis based on the node of the distributed SDS and the status change before and after the incr
