This invention relates to halophile extract used for skin moisturization and applications. The halophile extract used for skin moisturization is produced by making moderate halophile cultivated by using high salt concentration medium bursted and broken through raising the osmotic pressure of the external environment and then obtaining the compatible osmotic solute in the supernatant after being centrifugation. The compatible osmotic solute extracted from moderate halophile at either logarithmic growth phase or stable growth phase has good moisture retention to the skin, which is a very good natural moisturizing agent applicable to various moisturizing skin care products and cosmetics. Because moderate halophile is directly used for extraction, it can be produced in mass culture through a large quantity of batch production manner to extract and produce compatible osmotic solute, so as to have extremely high commercial value.
