Summary:The invention provides an incoming call answering method and a communication device. The communication device includes a front camera. The answering method includes the following steps: determining if the communication device is in use when receiving an incoming call; switching on the front camera when determining the communication device is not in use; capturing an image using the front camera; calculating a brightness value of the image; comparing the brightness value with a threshold value; determining if the image is first captured when its brightness value is greater than the threshold value; if not, witching off the front camera and answering the incoming call.
