Summary:The present invention provides an information processing system which is provided with a recognition database generated from commodity information, and in which commodities are associated with a domestic electrical appliance, matching processing with respect to the recognition database is performed on the basis of usage detection information for commodities in the domestic electrical appliance associated with the commodities, and used commodities in the domestic electrical appliance are identified. As a result, used commodities in the domestic electrical appliance can be identified on the basis of the recognition database generated from purchased commodity information, and the usage detection information for commodities in the domestic electric appliance associated with a purchaser of the purchased commodities.
