Summary:A searching and locating device includes: at least one active radio frequency identification (RFID) tag that emits radio signals; a locator that locates the active RFID tag; and a display for displaying information. The active RFID tag periodically and automatically emits a signal that contains an identification code. The locator includes an antenna that receives radio signals, and an identification calculating unit. The identification calculating unit determines whether a signal received from the antenna contains the identification code or not. If it is determined that the signal received by the antenna contains the identification code, signal strength of the signal received by the antenna that contains the identification code is calculated. The display displays information of the signal strength calculated by the identification calculating unit. Therefore, the active RFID tag that emits signals can be easily searched by means of the locator and the display.
