Summary:An opto-electronic device assembly comprises a circuit board and two heat conducting covers coupled together in a transverse direction for shielding the circuit board. The circuit board has a lower edge extending out of the cover in a longitudinal direction with circuit pads on opposite side thereof. The circuit board further includes a high power component mounted thereon. At least one of the two heat conducting covers has a protrusion extending inwardly towards the high power component for dissipating heat from the high power components on the circuit board.
