Summary:The present invention discloses a monitoring system and a method thereof. The monitoring system comprises an input module, a monitoring module, a processing module and a prompting module. The input module is arranged for providing a user to input a usage restriction data. The monitoring module is arranged for monitoring the usage status of an electronic device and an application program operated in the front-end of the electronic device to generate monitoring information. The processing module is arranged for receiving the usage restriction data and the monitoring information, and generating an excess judgment instruction while the monitoring information exceeds a threshold value of the usage restriction data through determining by the processing module. The prompting module is arranged for generating a prompting message according to the excess judgment instruction.
