Summary:A display device and a method for automatically detecting status of touch keys are provided. The display device includes a touch key module, a control integrated circuit (IC), and a display module. The control IC electrically connected to the touch key module is used to transfer a touch key value detected by the touch key module into a signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and a sensitivity. The control IC includes an on-screen display (OSD) IC, in which the OSD IC electrically connected to the display module is used to control an OSD menu to display the SNR and the sensitivity. The display module electrically connected to the control IC is used to display the SNR and the sensitivity transferred by the control IC. The invention transfers the touch key value detected by the touch key module into the SNR and the sensitivity, and displays them in the OSD menu, so that a user may directly perceive information about the touch keys by the OSD menu displaying the SNR and the sensitivity, and then do a corresponding operation.
