Summary:An ultraviolet light emitting device includes: a mounting substrate an ultraviolet light emitting element mounted on a first surface side of the mounting substrate a lens that is arranged on the first surface side of the mounting substrate, apart from the ultraviolet light emitting element, and controls light distribution of ultraviolet light emitted from the ultraviolet light emitting element and a metal-made lens supporting member that is fixed on the mounting substrate and supports the lens. The lens is an aspherical lens made of glass having a yield point of 600 DEG C or lower. The lens and the lens supporting member are directly bonded.
