This invention relates to an automatic guiding device for ships, which includes a central column, a bottom plate and at least one steering wheel. In this invention a plurality of waterway transportation guiding devices is installed at the river segment where the ship is to dock. When in use with non-powered ship, the ship carries sand from the upstream down the river. Therefore, there is no need for power device. When the ship approaches the river segment to be docked, the ship will hit the steering wheel of the guiding device and then be guided to the next guiding device and finally guided to the river bank, thereby achieving the efficacy of automatically guiding ship to the river bank. Since the ship doesn't need power and personnel to control its direction, it can effectively reduce the ship cost, fuel cost and manpower cost. Since no need to use fuel, it will not pollute the river to achieve the purpose of environmental protection.
