An object of the present invention is to effectively recover fuel vapor that is trapped in an underground fuel tank when fuel is unloaded from a tank truck to the underground fuel tank. The solution of the present invention is a vapor recovery device that comprises a suction mechanism that is mounted on a recovery pipe bifurcated from a ventilation pipe having an end connected to the underground tank to draw and collect the fuel vapor contained in the underground tank; and a condensation mechanism that is connected to a downstream side of the suction mechanism to condense the fuel vapor. The suction mechanism can control the suction power for the fuel vapor in a variable manner.
