Summary: | The disclosure provides a method for modifying the surface of metal polar plate comprising: providing a metallic substrate having a flow field structure and an adhesive layer formed thereon; dispensing expansive graphite powders onto the adhesive layer, and press-fitting the expansive graphite powders and the metallic substrate with a mold to form a graphite layer on the metallic substrate, wherein the mold is structurally corresponding to the flow field structure of the metallic substrate.
