Summary:A system for optimizing music is applied in an electronic device. The system includes a setting module for setting music classifications of songs stored in the electronic device, and setting optimization parameters executed by a music equalizer corresponding to each of the music classifications; a classification module for classifying the songs according to the music classifications; a reading module for reading a music classification of a song played in a music player; and an optimization module for optimizing the played song by controlling the music equalizer according to optimization parameters corresponding to the read music classification. A method for optimizing music is also provided. By utilizing the system and the method, the songs played by the music player may be optimized automatically.
