Summary:The present invention provides an energy-saving control device, an energy-saving control method and a power adapter including the energy-saving control device. The control device comprises a mechanical switch having a first end and a second end, wherein the second end is used as an output end of the switch; a controller of which an input terminal connected to the output end of the mechanical switch and an output terminal is used for outputting an ON/OFF control signal; and a power converter for receiving the ON/OFF control signal from the controller and working according to the ON/OFF control signal, wherein, when a connection cable is inserted into or plugged out from a cable interface, the first end and the second end of the mechanical switch are in contact or separated.
