Summary:The present invention overcomes the issue that the contrast ratio will be reduced when the pigment presenting the fluorescent light is used. A color filter with a high lightness and a high contrast ratio can be produced. A coloring composition for a color filer includes a pigment (A) presenting a fluorescent light, an organic compound (B) represented by a formula, P-Lm, and a resin binder (C). In the formula, P is an organic pigment skeleton or a phenyl amine, L is a basic functional group Lb, an acidic functional group La or a functional group Lp having a phthalimide skeleton, and m is an integer of 1 to 4, which represents a number of functional groups.
